CW Coop’s Barrie is launching CW Coop’s Rising Stars: Youth Battle of the Bands—a recurring, community-first live music series that gives local youth bands a real stage, real crowd, and a real cash prize.
When: Bi-weekly Sundays, 4:00–8:00pm, starting March 8, 2026
Where: CW Coop’s Barrie, 3 Mulcaster Street, Barrie
Who can perform: Ages 12–18 (on the event date)
Who can attend: All-ages (friends, family, and the community)
Each event features 4–6 bands, with 15–20 minute sets (as assigned), quick changeovers, and audience voting by paper ballot (one ballot per paid entry). There’s a $5 door cover, and every dollar goes into the night’s prize pool, paid out in cash at the end of the event: 1st place 60% / 2nd place 40%. We’ll post the prize pool total once headcount is confirmed.
Bands bring their own instruments and essentials (guitars, pedals, sticks, etc.). Load-in and soundcheck times are assigned—please arrive on time and keep gear streamlined to help the show run smoothly.
